It's finished.

Here it is, it's finally done.

Light+ TD Version 1.1

I can't begin to describe how good it feels to have finally finished this game. Trello is completely empty, everything (seems) to work, video is made, credits are given, traversal server is running. After starting this project around March I can't believe it took me this long to have it finished in November. I shouldn't be surprised though, I haven't worked this hard on a personal project before. Now I have one indie game addition to add to my portfolio. I've learned so many things that I can't wait to share in an upcoming post-mortem video. It's been overall a pleasant experience, and I've grown as both a developer and a programmer. I now know what to expect in future projects, and have a clearer insight into how to approach new things and ideas. I've also met some cool people and have garnered a small audience that has taken a liking to this project. All I've wanted to do since the beginning is relive those days of spending my summer holidays playing Starland TD on my crappy old Acer. It's surreal to think that this is now a possibility.

It is highly unlikely that I will be releasing any more major updates. I may release some smaller bug fixes, but to be honest I'm looking forward to just closing the lid on this one for good. I'm looking forward to moving on to other projects and areas that I find interesting.

I'd like to thank the man himself, wmarsh for allowing me to make this project, and even encouraging me along the way to keep working at it and releasing whatever I end up putting out. Also with his help on any questions that I had. Without him this wouldn't be a reality. Seriously thank you so much.

I'd like to thank my good friend qwertyman for his wisdom, and being able to discuss interesting programming challenges with him. I'd also like to thank my partner for putting up with my all-nighters :P I'd like to thank all my friends and everyone who took an interest in my project. I'd also like to thank everyone who joined the discord. This project got more views that I ever expected it to, so thank you.

I guess that's it. I'll be putting some more posts up later on, I'm planning on hosting a tourney soon so stay tuned. I'm gonna take a well deserved break now and just enjoy playing some online tower defense.

See you in game :)

Edit:

qwertyman found a gamebreaking bug, it's been fixed now. Thanks :)
